What We're Looking For

We’re looking for an expert in Product Marketing to develop strategy and own how we position our products and deliver our products to students and schools nationwide. Developing and maintaining all product marketing processes and materials will be a few of the main responsibilities. While working cross-functionally and managing a team, it is this role’s duty to ensure alignment on all projects in support of the company’s priorities. The Director of Product Marketing will report directly to the VP of Marketing. 

 

What You'll Do at Just Right Reader

  • Develop and Own the Strategy: Own the end-to-end product marketing strategy, including market research, competitive analysis, positioning, and messaging for all current and future product lines.
  • Enhance Product Strategy for Existing Products and Customer Base: Create campaigns showcasing all for existing clients to support and achieve renewal goals and initiatives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing product marketing team, managing at least three direct reports.
  • Customer Insights and Market Research: Conduct ongoing market research and analysis to deeply understand the competitive landscape, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, digital marketing, events, and sales teams to ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in product development and positioning.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of sales enablement materials, product documentation, case studies, product packaging, and other collateral to support the sales process.
  • Support Customer Lifecycle: Owning the entire lifecycle of a customer from positioning, samples, sales support through collateral, to product delivery. 

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in product marketing within the Edtech industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Deep understanding of market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is preferred.
