About the Role

At Justworks, the Workplace team creates environments where employees thrive. As a Workplace Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless, engaging, and high-performing workplace experience in our Phoenix office.

This role blends workplace operations, employee experience, and cross-functional partnership. You will be responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly day-to-day while also contributing to initiatives that enhance how our people connect, collaborate, and do their best work.

What You’ll Do

Workplace Operations & Experience

  • Own and continuously improve day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and high-quality workplace experience
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing workplace needs and fostering a positive environment
  • Plan and execute in-office experiences including team events, All Hands, and employee activations

Vendor & Facilities Management

  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure consistent service quality across the office
  • Maintain workplace standards, including safety, compliance, and operational readiness

Workplace Systems & Processes

  • Manage and triage workplace requests through ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), ensuring timely and high-quality resolution
  • Identify opportunities to improve workplace processes and contribute to the development of scalable solutions

Workplace Technology Support

  • Provide basic on-site support for workplace technology and coordinate with IT and network teams to resolve issues efficiently

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a liaison between the Phoenix office and NYC HQ to ensure alignment on workplace initiatives and standards
  • Partner closely with People, IT, Legal, and other business teams to support employee and operational needs

Employee Experience & Onboarding

  • Support onboarding by ensuring new hires have a seamless in-office experience, including access, orientation, and workspace readiness
  • Partner with People teams to support employee-related needs and escalate issues when appropriate

How You Will Do Your Work

As a Workplace Specialist, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following competencies:

  • Consultative - takes an approach that focuses on building relationships with others, understanding their problems, and developing solutions to their challenges through open-ended questions and active listening.
  • Detail-oriented - exercises extreme attention to detail; is thorough, accurate, organized, and productive and seeks to understand both the cause and effect of a situation.
  • Initiative and motivation - identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it.
  • Functional expertise - subject matter expertise of specific function(s), including knowledge of principles, practices, and domain knowledge.
  • Clear communication - the ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to gain understanding.

Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of experience in workplace operations, office management, or facilities
  • Experience supporting office environments in a fast-paced or high-growth company
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as People, IT, and Operations
  • Passion for creating a best-in-class workplace experience

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
