OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Product Owner to join our new Vijayawada office and collaborate with a Scrum team responsible for products used before, during, and after emergencies. You will play a key role in shaping impactful solutions that help organizations and communities better prepare for, respond to, and recover from critical events. Over time, this role is designed to grow into a leadership position, guiding and mentoring an expanding team of Product Owners.
JOB SUMMARY
The Product Owner will be responsible to organize, prioritize and assess work for our Scrum team.
Your responsibilities will include gathering feature requirements from subject matter experts and other key stakeholders, translating them into stories, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work alongside Product Manager, subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to gather and analyze business and system use cases, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work alongside with Juvare Support team to help triaging and solving client issues.
- Work alongside with Mobile Team Manager to prepare the requirements for mobile app and align releases.
- Own and prioritize the product(s) backlog.
- Define epics, user stories, system requirements and business rules.
- Plan and coordinate releases internally between dependent products or services and externally to align with contractual obligations.
- Lead Agile ceremonies like refinement, sprint planning. Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years recent experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar role.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Excellent Communication Skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with project management and/or software development tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, MS Project, Confluence).
- Prefer Emergency response or emergency management domain knowledge.
This position is subject to compliance with the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR") and may require a U.S. person status verification.
