Job Summary FDI Services Inc. is currently seeking 1 (Night Shift) JM Millwright for our City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre Facility in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely executing Millwright duties in a facilities maintenance setting.  Responsibilities Comprehends diagrams schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.  Operates rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.  Understands how to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.  Align and test equipment to make any necessary adjustments.  Performs preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts as necessary. Periodically perform tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.  May perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner. Excellent problem-solving skills required. Good analytical ability and manual dexterity. Successful candidates are required to have a valid Alberta driver’s license and provide a 5-year driver’s abstract. Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time. Must be able to perform duties at heights. Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision. Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization. Trade Requirements Millwright JM certificate from a recognized provincial training authority. Position Information Located at the City of Edmonton Waste Management Facility 12 hours of work shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) 4/4 Rotation Schedule - Weekend shift rotations apply JM Rate $45.16/Hour / +$3.00/Hour for night shift premium = $48.16/hour Dual Certification Premium (if applicable)

Primary Responsibilities: Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of off-road construction equipment, on-highway tractor-trailers, light vehicles, small/medium diesel equipment, and off-highway vehicles not limited to: Frame, steering and suspension systems – light duty, truck and transport & off-road. Hydraulic & air brake systems Power train systems – truck and transport & off-road Air conditioning systems Vehicle electric diagnosis and failure analysis Electronic and electrical systems Hydraulics Engines – including diesel fuel injection. Charging & cranking systems Use of Diesel Diagnostic Software. Working on all makes/models of construction support equipment. Complete daily paperwork and participate in toolbox talks. Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program. Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections. Other duties as required. Qualifications: Journeyperson certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal if out of Province). Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner. Excellent problem-solving skills required. Good analytical ability and manual dexterity. Successful candidates are required to have valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract. Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization. Must be able to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing. This role offers a high degree of independence, with no daily requirement to report to a physical supervisor. Regular communication and coordination are maintained through phone and remote communication tools. Travel from Terrace to site is approximately 4 hours each way and paid by the Company. Non-Local: Company-arranged flights are provided to and from Terrace. Travel from Terrace to site is approximately 4 hours each way and paid by the Company. Day 14 includes an early departure from site (approximately 2:00 PM) to accommodate return travel.
