Oil & Gas Field Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Field Heavy Duty Mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles used in oil and gas field operations. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work in remote, high-demand environments under strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and field vehicles.
- Maintain and service equipment such as:
- Drilling rigs and service rigs
- Pressure pumping equipment
- Bulldozers, loaders and excavators
- Service trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures in field conditions.
- Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and computerized systems to identify issues.
- Complete detailed maintenance reports and maintain accurate service records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety procedures.
- Respond to field breakdowns and emergency repair calls.
- Work collaboratively with field supervisors, operators, and safety personnel.
Qualifications
- JM Heavy duty mechanic ticket
- 3–7+ years of experience working on heavy-duty diesel equipment (oil & gas experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, and electrical
- Experience with OEM systems such as CAT, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, or similar manufacturers.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Work Environment
- Field-based role in oil and gas production sites
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and heavy machinery
- Rotational schedules (e.g., 14/14, 20/10, or similar)
- Overtime and on-call work may be required
