DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops patterns for projects or follows directions in given layouts, blueprints and work orders 
• Cleans, checks for defects and shapes component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch 
• Welds piping, structural steel and components as required
• May perform other related duties assigned, willing to support other trades as required

Requirements

• Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority 
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing 
• Valid B Pressure certificate
• Need to be sent to CLAC to test for F3/F4 ticket with our weld procedure
• Valid all positions SMAW CWB ticket
• Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting 
• Must possess valid CSTS .09 (Construction Safety Training Systems) 
• Tig/Stainless  Experience would be considered an asset.
• Pipeline welding Experience would be considered an asset.
• Must possess valid government issued photo identification 

Work Conditions

• Located in Norman Wells, NWT
• Charter Flights provided from Edmonton with Additional rotation incentives!
• Day Shift Position / 11.5 hours of work per day
• 15/13 Rotation Schedule
