Pro Social Media Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a Pro Social Media Manager to oversee and grow K18’s professional-facing social media channels, with a focus on Instagram and our private Pro Facebook Group. This role will act as the digital voice of K18 for professionals globally—crafting strategy, curating and capturing content, driving engagement, and building meaningful relationships with the stylist community.
You’ll work cross-functionally with K18’s Education, Creative, Sales, and International teams to deliver inspiring content, support pro activations, and ensure our channels are aligned with broader brand goals. Importantly, this role will also help shape our future social presence as we explore new platforms and opportunities to engage with pros.
Responsibilities
Channel Strategy, Content & Curation
- Develop and execute the content strategy for K18’s pro-specific social channels and surfaces (Current priorities: Instagram, Pro FB Group).
- Curate and create engaging, relevant, and educational content tailored to professional stylists.
- Ensure copy and messaging reflects K18’s brand voice and resonates with the pro community.
Community Management & Engagement
- Manage day-to-day posting, moderation, and engagement across channels, with the intent of nurturing real relationships through social media (and beyond).
- Foster an active, supportive, and inclusive pro community—amplifying stylist and salon voices from around the world, and celebrating their work.
- Respond to community questions and feedback in a timely, brand-aligned manner.
Event Engagement & Content Capture
- Attend K18 pro events, activations, and industry gatherings to capture real-time content.
- Engage with stylists in person, strengthening community bonds and generating authentic content for digital channels.
Channel Growth & Expansion
- Collaborate with broader Consumer Engagement and Education teams on strategy for expanding K18’s pro presence beyond existing platforms, exploring new channels as opportunities arise.
- Help pilot innovative ways of connecting with stylists digitally.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with broader Consumer Engagement team, as well as Education, Creative, Sales, and International teams, to foster stylist influencer relationships and activations, deliver assets, toolkits, and pro activations.
- Support the rollout of campaigns, product launches, and stylist-driven initiatives across pro channels.
Measurement & Reporting
- Deliver monthly and annual reporting on performance, insights, and growth opportunities.
- Track and analyze community engagement, sentiment, and content performance to optimize strategy.
- Communicate real-time wins via company Slack channels.
Support on Cross-Platform Projects
- Collaborate on broader initiatives that touch the pro community (e.g., loyalty programs, TYB community marketing).
- Identify opportunities to integrate pro social media into larger brand activations.
Role Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management, ideally within beauty, haircare, or professional brands.
- Strong understanding of the professional stylist community and salon industry culture.
- Experience as a stylist or working directly with stylist communities is a plus—ensuring authentic connection and understanding of the pro audience.
- Willingness and ability to attend industry events, engage with pros in person, and capture live content.
- Excellent content curation, writing, and communication skills.
- Experience managing private social groups and fostering engaged communities.
- Familiarity with social media management tools, data and analytics.
- Creative, collaborative, and organized with strong project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while staying positive; a collaborative team player and natural people-person who builds strong relationships and balances multiple priorities with ease.

Salary Range: up to $110-115k in USD
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
