Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager, FP&A to support Kailera’s financial planning and analysis activities. This role will work closely with the Head of FP&A and cross-functional teams to provide a decision making advantage to leadership while also delivering accurate financial forecasts, insightful analyses, and scalable reporting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred location: Waltham, MA (onsite or hybrid 2-3 days per week).

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes
• Partner with key business leaders to understand business drivers and provide financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making
• Prepare and analyze monthly budget vs. actual reports, identifying key variances and trends as well as maintaining track of opportunities and risks to the financial plan
• Maintain and enhance financial models to support scenario planning, headcount tracking, and program-level forecasting
• Assist in the preparation of materials for executive leadership, board meetings, and investor presentations
• Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end close to ensure accurate accruals and financial reporting
• Contribute to the development of scalable FP&A processes, tools, and systems (e.g., Oracle PBCS, NetSuite)
• Support ad hoc financial analyses, including business development opportunities, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across functions
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Oracle PBCS, NetSuite) preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”

Preferred Qualifications:

• Biotech experience preferred

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA a plus
