
Associate II, Medical Editor

What You’ll Do:
The Associate II, Medical Editor role will be responsible for a range of editorial services that ensure Kailera regulatory documents adhere to both internal and external standards for excellence. Your work will ensure that the data and information surrounding Kailera’s assets is presented with consistency, and your leadership of editorial services is foundational in establishing the Kailera style and voice. Your strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to adapt to aggressive and evolving timelines will set you apart as a core member of our Scientific Communications and Medical Writing team.
Preferred location: Waltham, MA or San Diego, CA (onsite or hybrid 2-3 days per week).
Responsibilities:
- Establish editorial services including editing, proofreading, and formatting
- Lead the ongoing development of the Kailera Style Guide
- Lead the editing and formatting of a wide variety of clinical regulatory documents across the drug development model
- Lead the Quality Check (QC) process for Regulatory documents
- Partner with Medical Writers to establish content and document standards
- Provide oversight to third party organizations who perform editing services on behalf of Kailera
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the medical communication, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, and Veeva Vault RIM platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge of various editorial styles (AMA, APA, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal skills with a mastery of English grammar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Editor of Life Science (ELS) certification
- Demonstrated understanding of Health Authority guidelines and technical requirements
- Works independently with a high degree of autonomy
- Ability to manage multiple, deadline-sensitive projects
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree

Salary Range
$70,000 - $90,000 USD
