About the Role 

Join our talented team of Global Services Consultants providing infrastructure services to customers around the world. In this position you will have an opportunity to make major contributions to the success of implementing technical solutions for the marine & in-land industry.

The Kaleris IT Infrastructure Consultant role is to enable our broad technology consulting practice through involvement in a variety of projects ranging from strategic planning, technical design and implementation. This role will be involved with planning, designing and recommending implementation of all areas of our clients' technology environment (On-Prem & Cloud Environments). 

Responsibilities 

  • Implement IT Technical solutions with customers using our Implementation Methodology  
  • Conduct Technical Workshops to customers and constantly improving on the service delivery of these services 
  • Implementing monitoring solutions for our customers with the ability to train and ensure customers can interpret and understand the overall environments state at any given time 
  • The Infrastructure Consultant should be well versed in Virtualization Tools and Technology having an in depth understanding of the various features be able to provide expert technical consultancy to our customers 
  • Implement Navis Technical solutions with customers using our Implementation Methodology  
  • Assess Technical solution options and define conceptual solution design, in conjunction with client operational and IT systems engineers  
  • Serve as customer advocate throughout solution design, development, and test phases to ensure delivered solution meets customer objectives  
  • Assist with building a growing consulting practice to include practice aids and templates for use at multiple clients 
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting via Technical Services of Navis customer IT Infrastructure, including network hardware and software, servers, DR, storage, WAN/communication links, and cloud hosting. 
  • Design and maintenance of cloud environments for hosting of Navis N4 software. 
  • Design, administer, manage, maintain and troubleshoot Navis customer’s IT Infrastructure, including servers, storage, DR, network hardware and software, WAN/communication links and cloud hosting.  
  • Ready to support Kaleris customers across different geographies. 
  • Flexible and ready to work in a 24 x 7 x 265 environment (including on standby support / rotational shifts when assigned to customer projects) 

Requirements 

To be part of our Infrastructure team, we expect the following (or equivalent) qualifications:  

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Professional Services capacity. 
  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, 3 - 5 years’ experience  
  • Certifications in the Technology areas where applicable is an added advantage  
  • 2-3 years’ experience in handling multiple smaller projects or complex projects simultaneously (container terminal projects or logistics projects is an added advantage) 
  • Experience with centralization, consolidation and virtualization of servers, storage and overall IT architecture with supporting work in disaster recovery planning and implementation  
  • Deep technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards  
  • Good understanding of underlying Operating Systems and their configuration  
  • Good understanding of database technologies including scaling, redundancy and backup  
  • Good practical technical judgment and troubleshooting skills 
  • Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices  
  • Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required  
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience  
  • Ability to present ideas in a manner appropriate for the intended audience  
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail  
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities  
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment  
  • Strong customer service orientation Additional Expertise:

  • Cloud Technologies (I.E - MS Azure, AWS)

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Experience in Navis TOS will be a plus
