ABOUT THE ROLE

KalVista seeks a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional to join us as Associate Director, Commercial Supply Planning.  Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Planning and Network Strategy, this role will lead supply planning activities for both US and Global Commercial programs.
As a key member of the planning team, you will develop an all-encompassing strategy focusing on New Product Introduction (NPI) to lifecycle management of all marketed products at KalVista.  This role will also place a high emphasis on planning in an ERP environment (SAP), along with reporting the “health” of our supply chain through generation of robust metrics and KPIs.  Our ideal candidate will possess a strong skillset required to translate fluid forecasts into working production plans, pre and post launch activities and aligning cross functionally in execution of product to patient.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain target level of end-to-end supply across all regions. Ensure demand and supply are accurately reflected and executed in SAP
  • Oversee the Supply Chain Launch Readiness sub-team, meticulously guiding its activities to ensure a state of thorough preparedness for a seamless and successful product launch
  • Lead monthly Supply Review Meeting assessing forecasts vs capacity, materials and lead-time as part of our monthly governance cycle. Align with cross-functional key stake holders on supply plan execution
  • Prepare supply plans, plan to actual assessments and any escalations in support of our monthly S&OP meeting. Present key topics and/ or recommendations to Executive leadership team.
  • Generate annual long term (3 year) production plan in support of our annual budget cycle.  Identify and endorse any mid-cycle changes
  • Develop scenario plans when required to ensure supply plans robustly support commercial ambition
  • Develop lifecycle management plans for commercial products that include shelf-life considerations
  • Proactively identify supply chain risks; create and implement mitigation plans for KalVista’s NPI and Commercial products and escalate to Senior Management through Supply Chain Governance
  • Develop and or maintain balanced scorecard metrics and KPIs for Supply Chain
  • When operating under wholesaling authorizations, ensure that activities are undertaken as per SOPs and cGDP

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Supply Chain disciple, Management or life science field
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of industry standard supply chain management techniques such as Value Stream Planning, S&OP, scenario planning, Inventory and Capacity management
  • Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of supply planning in SAP
  • Experience in rapid and informed decision making through clear presentation of proposals that balance compliance, customer and cost
  • Possess expertise in dealing with complexity involving Commercial, CMC, R&D and GSC activities

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA is preferred
  • End-to-End Supply Chain design experience
