The Director of Workplace Technology & Services is responsible for shaping and executing the strategy for all workplace and end-user technologies to enhance employee productivity, collaboration, and satisfaction. This role leads teams delivering IT Service Desk, and end-user computing services, ensuring operational excellence, security, and alignment with enterprise goals. The Director will drive modernization, automation, and best practices across end-user systems, collaboration platforms, and workplace services while partnering closely with Cybersecurity, Applications, Cloud, and business stakeholders.
What you will do:
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the enterprise strategy for workplace technology solutions, including workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, Office 365, and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
- Lead and develop high-performing teams for IT Service Desk, and end-user support functions.
- Driving continuous improvement in service delivery and processes.
- Develop and implement modernization roadmaps, automation initiatives, and IT infrastructure enhancements.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Applications, and Cloud teams to ensure secure, scalable, and integrated IT solutions.
- Oversee IT governance related to systems, authentication, and access control.
End-User Systems & Services
- Manage the lifecycle of all end-user devices (Windows, macOS, mobile).
- Oversee standard image engineering, software deployment, patch management, and compliance.
- Implement automation and self-service capabilities to improve the end-user experience.
- Develop and maintain risk mitigation, incident response, and business continuity plans for workplace technology.
- Manage budgets for hardware, software, and licensing; negotiate vendor and service contracts.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with HR, Security, and business units to streamline onboarding, provisioning, and workplace enablement.
- Maintain relationships with key technology vendors and managed service providers.
- Communicate strategic initiatives, service updates, and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure workplace technology aligns with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA).
- Proactively identify and address technology risks in workplace and end-user environments.
- Maintain operational excellence in uptime, resilience, and recovery practices.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in tools like Intune and ManageEngine etc.
- 10+ years in IT leadership with experience overseeing end-user computing, IT support, and collaboration tools.
- Proven track record in building and leading high-performing IT service delivery teams.
- Experience with enterprise endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, JAMF, SCCM), collaboration platforms, and identity/access management.
- Solid understanding of ITIL, ITSM practices, and workplace technology trends.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements (ISO, SOX, HIPAA) and risk management in IT environments.
Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes:
- Competitive Base Salary Range of $157,000- $252,000 Kapitus is providing this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant’s final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant’s geographic location, skills, and experience.
