What you will do
As Senior Product Manager for Data Products, you will contribute to the development of benchmarking and analytics products that leverage the 400k+ interviews Karat has conducted to transform how companies understand and measure technical talent. Working closely with the VP of Product, you'll apply customer empathy and product thinking to build data products that establish Karat as the definitive measure of talent, while collaborating across engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver transformative solutions.
- Product Development & Execution: Support development of innovative data and benchmarking products; help prioritize features based on customer needs and business objectives; partner with engineering, data science, and UX teams to deliver sophisticated yet intuitive analytics experiences.
- Analytics & Insights: Help transform our extensive interview dataset into actionable benchmarking products; contribute to products that provide customers with industry insights and competitive intelligence; support frameworks for measuring and comparing talent across roles, levels, and interview formats.
- Market & Customer Focus: Gather customer feedback to inform product decisions; monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities; support Go-to-Market teams on expansion strategies; contribute to business cases for new offerings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with data science teams on analytics methodologies; ensure integration with existing customer workflows; support evaluation of market positioning of current offerings.
- Product Strategy Support: Contribute to the roadmap for data products; help evaluate how we should leverage our extensive interview dataset to create industry-leading benchmarking and analytics products; support leadership in shaping Karat's strategy as the definitive measure of talent.
The experience you will bring
- 5+ years of product management experience working on B2B offerings, with demonstrated experience shipping products to technical audiences
- Hands-on technical curiosity with demonstrated history of personally exploring tools, technologies, and AI advancements; passionate about staying current with emerging tech trends through direct experimentation
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguous, customer-facing product decisions at scale with incomplete information and evolving requirements
- Ownership mentality with demonstrated follow-through: history of proactively identifying problems and solutions, then driving resolution even outside formal responsibilities
- Consistent hustle and scrappy execution: demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results quickly while continuously iterating; creative problem-solving when working with limited resources or constraints
- Experience defining, launching, and scaling products with measurable business impact
- Strong analytical skills with experience building customer-facing analytics products
- Demonstrated ability to work with datasets and translate data insights into customer-facing products
- Experience collaborating across engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver solutions
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and work effectively in cross-functional teams

U.S. Compensation Varies by Geographic Location
At Karat, salary ranges for each U.S.-based position are determined by the employee's work location. We structure our compensation into geographic tiers based on market data and regional economic factors.

Base Salary (GeoLo 1)
$190,541 - $208,000 USD
Base Salary (GeoLo 2)
$171,486.90 - $187,200 USD
Base Salary (GeoLo 3)
$152,432.80 - $166,400 USD
Base Salary (GeoLo 4)
$133,378.70 - $145,600 USD
