Job Overview
Kardigan is seeking a dynamic Associate Director, Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and play a critical role in our growth. As the Associate Director, Finance Business Partner, you will be integral to our Finance team, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders to drive strategic financial decisions and optimize clinical enrollment models. Your expertise will guide our financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will be the main point of contact for the Development organization, ensuring that the initiatives align with our overall business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership: Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that support the clinical development pipeline, including budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Clinical Enrollment Model Development: Design and implement robust financial models for clinical trial enrollment, ensuring alignment with project timelines and resource allocation.
- Business Partnership: Foster strong relationships with development leaders and cross-functional teams, providing actionable insights and recommendations that enhance decision-making and drive performance.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior management.
- System Implementation: Help design and contribute to the implementation of our FP&A system for reporting. Develop monthly management reports and dashboards to guide the business.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate on strategic initiatives, including resource planning and prioritization of clinical trials, to ensure financial viability and operational success.
- Program Team Support This position will support one of our Development GPT teams representing finance and preparing the budget and reporting for team and Executive Committee.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop finance team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of finance experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on clinical development.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, particularly related to clinical trial enrollment.
- Strong business partnership skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive results in a collaborative environment.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.

Pay range
$164,000 - $214,000 USD
