The Role

Kasa is looking to add a highly motivated individual to join our Sales Team to oversee a one-of-a-kind property in STILE Downtown Los Angeles.
 
Kasa offers flexible accommodations for guests in dozens of markets nationwide. We partner with multifamily and hospitality property owners to offer various unit types in our portfolio, including short-term rental apartments, apartels, and traditional hotel rooms across price and luxury tiers. The Sales Coordinator at STILE DTLA plays a role in support the hotel’s sales team by ensuring seamless execution of administrative tasks, client interactions and sales processes. This individual will contribute to achieving revenue goals by assisting with sales initiatives, coordinating client events, group rooming lists and maintaining strong customer relationships.
 
The Sales Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales team by handling clerical, administrative, and marketing tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department. This individual will provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests and assist with various operational duties to meet departmental objectives.
 
This position requires someone who can maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, manage multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with team members, guests, and management.

The Sales Coordinator will report to the Senior Sales Manager and work closely with the Distributions, Yield Management, Reservations, Partner Success, and Special Properties teams.
 
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA. You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Sales Manager in all tasks assigned, including but not limited to administrative tasks, creation of group rooming lists and assigning of group reservations, scheduling, and attending client meetings.  An exciting part of this is being instrumental in changing the way corporate and group travelers view the flexible accommodations space.

The Sales team is dedicated to growing revenue at Kasa through all channels, as well as growing Kasa as a distinguished accommodations brand. Our mission is to build a distinctive brand that has direct relationships with guests.

Day in the life of a Kasa Sales Coordinator

Like any role at a fast-paced start-up, there is no 'typical day', but your primary responsibility will be to drive top-line and ancillary revenue streams by assisting Senior Sales Managers. As a Sales Coordinator, your role will be varied, with responsibilities ranging from answering calls and emails to maintaining clients' relationships. You will work directly with guests and clients to ensure their needs are met and assist with administrative duties related to Sales functions. Your tasks will include:
 
  • Answering and responding to phone and email messages promptly
  • Distributing incoming mail and maintaining filing systems
  • Create and manage groups in Kontrol, while overseeing activities and maintaining client communication within the Thynk system.
  • Make reservations for Senior Sales Managers
  • Typing correspondence and distributing meeting minutes
  • Preparing Group Resume and assisting with the daily operations of the Sales Team
  • Greeting guests, clients, and employees as necessary, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Attending meetings and training sessions as required by management

Experience

  • College course work in a related field is helpful, but not required
  • Computer skills required, with proficiency in relevant software and applications
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance and comply with hotel standards
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A warm, friendly, and courteous demeanor with guests and employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You have previously worked in the Los Angeles market in hotel sales
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with the latest computer programs and innovations in the hospitality field
