Job Summary: 

As an Investigator, you will be responsible for completing investigations to determine subrogation potential.  Using your investigative and analytical skills you will work with a variety of contacts to gather accident details.  You will use this information in conjunction with state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies, and contract compliance to complete your investigation and prepare the subrogation file to be handled by our Recovery Specialist team. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and adapting to changing business needs while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity.

Responsibilities: 

  • Reviews and investigates within various claims platforms to determine coverage eligibility and plan information. (20%)
  • Enter missing case details into the case management system. (55%)
  • Review documentation to ensure consistent case set up process. (15%)
  • Contact external customers by phone/ email and solicit additional information required for the case. (8%)
  • Enter daily results into production tracker. (2%)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in claims investigation or related field
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in claims systems and subrogation tools
  • Knowledge of healthcare coding (CPT, ICD-10) preferred 

LOCATION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:  This position offers remote work flexibility for candidates who reside in one of our eligible hiring states: Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Texas, Wisconsin, or Michigan. Due to this location requirement, applicants must be located in and legally authorized to work from one of these states at the time of hire and throughout their employment.
