Frontend Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled React frontend developer to enhance and maintain KAYAK’s industry-leading search and booking technology. Our platform integrates with over 200 travel partners and connects users to more than 3.5 million hotels and rentals, as well as 550 airlines. If you thrive solving big-picture engineering problems and care deeply about user experience, the Foundation UI team offers the chance to build tools that enable creativity and innovation for hundreds of engineers—ultimately shaping how millions interact with KAYAK every day.

Note, this role is required to work from our Kanuas office at least 3 days per week.

As a Mid Front-End Engineer on the Foundation Team at KAYAK, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing the core components that power our travel search engine. You will have the opportunity to work on foundational projects that drive the overall user experience and performance of our platforms. Collaborating with talented engineers and teams globally, you will be at the forefront of shaping the technical infrastructure that supports millions of travelers worldwide.

In this role, you will:

• Own and evolve UI component library, ensuring consistency, scalability, and robustness across products.
• Collaborate with the design and product teams to drive strategic goals;
• Optimize front-end performance and ensure consistency across platforms;
• Contribute to defining best practices and standards for UI development.
• Create solutions that scale across brands, languages, and device types.

Please apply if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in visual web application development;
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML;
• Strong problem-solving skills in front-end development;
• Ability to translate design concepts into functional UI elements;
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Compensation:

Software Engineer salary consists of three elements:

Base pay: from 2700 EUR up to 3990 EUR gross monthly.

In addition:

• significant yearly bonuses, approx 10 percent annual salary;
• Booking Holdings RSU (Restricted Stock Units) package, worth 20000 USD (before taxes) with possibility to get it every year.

The salary range provided is not final and will be discussed during the process based on your skills and experience.
