Certified Payroll Specialist

Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist for our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Processing certified payroll reports and performing payroll audits related to IRA (Inflation Reduction Act)
  • Accurately calculating and distributing union contributions, including e-stamps, dues, and various fringe benefits for a high volume of construction related unions.
  • Ensuring correct withholding of federal, state, and local taxes from employee paychecks.
  • Filing payroll tax reports with the IRS and other relevant agencies, such as W-2s and 1099s.
  • Monitoring ADP Tax accounts and ensuring timely tax deposits & reporting.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all payroll transactions, including earnings, deductions, tax withholdings, and payments.
  • Ensuring that payroll practices adhere to federal/state laws and other employment-related regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting accurate payroll reports for management, government agencies, and financial auditors.
  • Assisting in payroll processing across multiple companies.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years performing similar responsibilities.
  • Certified payroll experience required.
  • Construction payroll/union experience required.
  • IRA (Inflation Reduction Act) familiarity required.
  • Excel experience (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) required.
  • CMIC experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills.
