As a Roller Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects by operating and maintaining heavy equipment used for compaction and surface leveling. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment where your skills and dedication will make a difference.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain heavy equipment, specifically rollers, to compact and level surfaces in preparation for construction.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functionality; promptly report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Operate additional tools and equipment, including hand tools, welders, pneumatic tools, and electric tools, as needed.
  • Utilize computers to access and log work orders, track tasks performed, and search for inventory parts.
  • Follow all Keeley Construction safety guidelines, immediately complete incident reports when required, and participate in regular safety meetings.
  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure construction activities are completed efficiently and meet project specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, including the maintenance shop and throughout the facility.
  • Consistently attend work as scheduled, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, with specific expertise operating rollers in a construction or similar environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Travel to various job sites may be required based on project needs.
