Senior Payroll Specialist

We are looking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist for our Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and assistance to other members of the team and serve as back-up support. 
  • Lead the processing of weekly certified payroll on all customer requested forms and standard forms as requested. 
  • Collective bargaining monthly reporting. 
  • Manages the internal and external audit requests pertaining to payroll. 
  • Maintains all collective bargaining agreements, wage rates, benefit rates, and employee clear-ins. 
  • Maintain accurate employee records. 
  • Maintain company level tables for local union records, home local records, and fringe and wage tables. 
  • Routine time and payroll record audits. 
  • Weekly internal labor reporting. 
  • Calculate and prepare layoff / termination checks. 
  • Oversee all union audits. 
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary. 
  • Responsible for all reconciliations related to union fringes and deductions. 
  • Compile complex reports as required by management, union, and government agencies regarding employee payroll issues. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years payroll experience within the construction industry.
  • Construction multi-state and multi-Union payroll experience, required. 
  • FPC or CPP designation, preferred. 
  • Well versed in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Thrives in a fast paced, diverse team environment.
  • Experience with Timberline/SAGE 300/CMIC Payroll is a plus.
