Design-Build Business Development Director

Keeley is looking for a dynamic individual at their St. Louis corporate headquarters to join as the Building Groups Business Development Director. This role is responsible for leading the business development function for the group in partnership with the VP of Business Development, identifying and creating new business opportunities, and driving the overall growth strategy. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, evaluating market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Actively engage with the Keeley leadership team to identify targeted Markets and customers.
  • Core area of expertise should include the design build emerging markets.
  • Study and understand the Industrial markets and customers that we are targeting.
  • Expand current network of clients as well as work to grow your network of people into new markets and contacts.
  • Qualify potential projects by analyzing the market, project requirements, customer financials; competitors; and work with internal operations to determine which projects are the best pursuits for the company.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closing the sale.
  • Work with the Project Teams and Marketing to develop proposals, presentations, other materials necessary to support pursuits for markets and for potential clients.
  • Provide input into forecasts for best case and most likely sales volumes from year to year.
  • Maintain relationships with existing customer base along with the other team members.
  • Focus on a scorecard that includes an aggressive number of face-to-face contacts each year with the goal of growing the revenue and gross margin 20% per year.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Related Design Build Construction Business Development experience
  • Active member of Design Build and Construction Associations
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business or Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of Business Development experience
  • Previous experience with helping build new divisions of business, a plus
  • Experience using salesforce (or other CRM), a plus
