Keeley Construction is looking for Accounting Interns to join our Corporate Accounting Team in Summer 2025.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Input financial transactions and records into accounting software, maintaining accuracy and organization.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements and other accounts, ensuring all entries are correct and up-to-date.
  • Support the accounting team in preparing for closing procedures by gathering data, organizing documents, and performing preliminary analyses.
  • Help with processing invoices, managing vendor and client transactions, and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Monitor department budgets and expenditures, tracking variances between actual and budgeted amounts.
  • Prepare basic reports, summaries, and presentations under the guidance of senior accountants or supervisors.
  • Organize documents and assist with internal and external audits, responding to auditor requests for specific information or documentation.
  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends or discrepancies and assist in creating documentation for financial policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Communicate effectively both orally and through writing and work cooperatively in a fast paced, diverse team environment.
