Heavy Haul Driver

Our Milling Services Division in Phoenix, AZ is looking to add a Heavy Haul Driver. The Heavy Haul driver will be responsible for operating lowbed trucks and transporting heavy machinery, and materials to and from job sites.   

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Safely and efficiently transport heavy machinery, equipment, and materials to and from job sites using a lowbed truck. 
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation and condition of the lowbed truck and trailer. 
  • Secure loads properly and ensure they are balanced and distributed appropriately for safe transport.  
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding weight limits, permits and road safety.  
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transported goods, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the lowbed truck and trailer as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Valid commercial driver’s license, Class A  CDL with appropriate endorsements for operating a lowbed truck and trailer.
  • Proficient in driving an 18-speed transmission. 
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Haul Driver, specifically in transporting oversize and overweight loads on a 6-7 adle lowbed. 
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal transportation regulations and requirements.     
  • Ability to do day, night and out of town work.
