Keeley construction is looking for a Water-Wastewater Superintendent to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage civil concrete construction within wastewater treatment plants, including foundations, slabs, tanks, and structural elements. Manage mechanical piping and equipment installations, including pumps, process treatment equipment, piping and valves, and steel structures.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor foremen, crews, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient work practices and adherence to project timelines.
  • Quality Control: Ensure precision in formwork, concrete placement, curing, and finishing, pipe installation, mechanical equipment, while maintaining durability and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Technical Interpretation: Read and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to guide construction activities.
  • Budget & Resource Allocation: Monitor labor, materials, and equipment costs, optimizing resources for efficiency.
  • Coordination: Work alongside engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve challenges and streamline operations.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct routine assessments to ensure proper execution of civil concrete work, identify issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop timelines, allocate resources, and manage risks associated with civil construction.
  • Procurement & Logistics: Oversee sourcing of concrete materials, formwork systems, pipe, valves, fittings, process treatment equipment, and subcontractor engagements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in civil concrete/mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in reinforced concrete structures, foundations, water containment systems, mechanical piping systems, and treatment facility processes.
  • Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage crews, resolve conflicts, and maintain project momentum.
  • Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools, scheduling software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license; OSHA certification preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
