Senior Vice President of Business Development & Marketing

We are looking to hire a Senior Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for our office in St. Louis, MO. The Senior Vice President of Business Development (BD) & Marketing is responsible for driving company growth by developing new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and overseeing marketing strategies. This role involves leading a high performing team of BD & Marketing professionals and requires a combination of strategic vision, market expertise, and strong relationship-building skills to foster business expansion, enhance brand positioning, and increase revenue.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business growth plans to expand market share and revenue.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
  • Lead Business Development (BD) initiatives, working closely with BD teams to drive deal closures and business expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to identify potential areas of expansion.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations to ensure market needs are met.
  • Work with the Marketing leadership to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
  • Provide direction for digital marketing, content marketing, SEO/SEM, advertising, public relations, and social media strategies.
  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment with the company's mission and values across all channels.
  • Work with business unit leaders on contract negotiations, joint ventures, and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Monitor customer feedback and market trends to refine marketing and branding efforts.
  • Knowledge and guidance of team in executing on high-impact marketing campaigns to drive lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Guide the marketing leadership & team members to improve relationships with external marketing agencies and vendors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the business development and marketing leaders & team members to achieve company objectives.
  • Establish performance metrics and drive accountability across teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align business development and marketing efforts with overall company goals.
  • Develop and manage budgets for business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and ROI.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and impact.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and executing successful sales & marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Exceptional Business development & Sales Experience winning projects & work programs.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Strategic thinking with an ability to analyze complex business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and sales strategies.
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in performance analytics.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
  • Work Environment & Travel:
    o    This role will require travel for customer & business meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.
    o    Flexible with work location yet a need for some office-based work depending on what’s required from day to day.
