Concrete Carpenter

Keeley Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Carpenter to join our construction team. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and materials needed for concrete formwork.
  • Build, erect, install, and repair concrete forms and structures using wood, metal, or other materials.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, or other materials to create precise formwork for concrete pouring.
  • Construct and set forms for foundations, walls, columns, stairs, and other concrete structures.
  • Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and bracing of forms to meet specifications and ensure stability.
  • Install expansion joints and embedded items in concrete structures as specified.
  • Strip and dismantle formwork after concrete has cured sufficiently.
  • Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and materials used in concrete carpentry.
  • Check completed formwork for quality, stability, and compliance with specifications.
  • Apply curing compounds or perform other concrete finishing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in concrete formwork and carpentry.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience with various forming systems (including traditional wood forms and modular systems).
  • Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment specific to concrete work.
  • Strong understanding of concrete properties and curing requirements.
  • Knowledge of proper forming techniques for various concrete elements.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in formwork construction.
