Keeley Construction is looking to hire a Project Director working remotely supporting our Heavy Industries group. The Project Director is responsible for acquiring and leading the profitable delivery of large complex projects, typically up to 100 million; including developing leads, customer relations, securing work, managing operations, and ensuring the profitable delivery of work secured. This position is also responsible for developing short-term and long-term strategic plans for the market sector.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations and P&L for the assigned market sector and provides strategic direction to successfully achieve the group’s success and overall strategic goals.
  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of the business unit. This includes being proficient in estimating, scheduling, quality control, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, proposal preparation, and leading the design team.
  • Driving scorecard results for respective groups.
  • Focus on higher order leadership activities such as modeling and championing KeeleyWay (i404, stp, plus/delta, Kaizen).
  • Transition to a Day 1 leader - STP Planning, Preparation and Report Out in conjunction with VP
  • Monday morning leadership team report out
  • Management and Development of Direct Reports
  • Builds and implements effective marketing initiatives, in conjunction with the senior leadership, to drive positive revenue growth.
  • Build a bench of strong managers and superintendents that strengthen the Business Units success.
  • Develop and nurture effective and lasting customer/client relationships.
  • Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure safety, quality control and schedule.
  • Conduct progress meetings with Owners and the design/construction team.
  • Ability to accurately assess profit/loss responsibility and current financial status for the market sector.
  • Deliver top and bottom-line results.
  • Adhere to OSHA and Company safety requirements, hold team accountable to maintain high safety standards, and promote the safety and security of employees
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years' in a related industry performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to assigned projects and meetings to meet business needs.
