Senior Estimator (Industrial Manufacturing)

We are looking to hire a Sr. Estimator for our Industrial Manufacturing business unit in St. Louis, MO. 

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, as well as development and review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing
  • Oversee all capital bids before submission.
  • Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
  • Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, ensuring coordination with estimators, and assembling final estimate for owner.
  • Drive and maintain all National Opportunities Reporting.
  • Onboard and manage estimating team.
  • Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
  • Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade.
  • Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
  • Exceed expectations with excellent customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
  • Maintain Company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years' in the construction, engineering, design-build, or related industries performing the similar primary responsibilities listed.
  • Ironwork and Millwright experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite including excel and estimating database software.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction takeoff programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of bid solicitation software.
  • Systematic planner who attends to details with accuracy and focus.
