Assistant Property Manager

Keeley Properties is looking to hire an Assistant Property Manager to join our team in St. Louis, MO.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Addresses and promptly resolves questions, requests, and complaints from residents.
  • Process applications, conducts credit checks, and other paperwork related to the initiation of a lease.
  • Process rent payments, generates statements, reviews AP and AR, and assists in handling any resident invoice issues.
  • Follow up with incoming leads.
  • Manage move in process from signing lease to physical move in.
  • Manage records and files associated with resident lease.
  • Distribute and collect leases and ensure that all required legal documents are signed.
  • Interview new prospective residents and give tours of property.
  • Assist the property manager in vendor management, budgets, and accounts.
  • Participate in planning of residential & commercial events, along with assisting in set up, operation, and tear down of events.
  • Complete monthly property walks of all buildings in regard to physical condition, janitorial standards, and any repairs needed.
  • Assist in the completion of resident requests.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Real estate, property management, or customer service experience required.
  • Expected to complete necessary Fair Housing and Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration certifications.
  • Possesses knowledge of the real estate industry, including market trends, prices, and state and federal housing regulations.
  • Proficient in basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Yardi and Onsite a plus or other property management software.
  • Ability to travel to various property sites if necessary.
  • Exhibits solid communication skills with an ability to calmly resolve disputes or complaints, and works well with a team.
