We are currently looking for a People & Culture Generalist to join our team

Job Description

Role Summary

The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist will serve as the primary owner of US payroll processing and benefits administration, while also supporting broader day-to-day P&C operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy and process, but also enjoys being the friendly, knowledgeable face of P&C that employees turn to with questions. You'll work closely with Finance, hiring managers, and external vendors to ensure our people are paid accurately, supported with strong benefits, and given a great employee experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for all US employees, including exempt, non-exempt, and multi-state employees as applicable
  • Maintain payroll records, ensure compliance with federal, New York State, and NYC wage and hour laws
  • Reconcile payroll data with HRIS and timekeeping systems; resolve discrepancies
  • Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments for all US employees
  • Partner with Finance/Accounting on any payroll related reporting on an as needed basis
  • Stay current on payroll compliance regulations

 

Benefits

  • Support leave of absence administration (FMLA, NY Paid Family Leave, short/long-term disability)
  • Provide Worker’s Compensation support, as needed, for any NYC based employees

General P&C Administration

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to pay, benefits and policies
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and exit logistics
  • Support compliance efforts (I-9s, workplace postings, EEO reporting, etc.)
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR function as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Other Info

  • Monday-Friday hybrid work schedule (3 days per week in person at our NYC office)
  • Compensation includes base salary within the posted range, a year-end bonus target, and participation in our yearly equity grant
