About the Role
The Senior Manager, Federal Platform Operations is a senior, hands-on leader responsible for ensuring Keeper can be built, released, deployed and operated in U.S. Government environments. This is a technical delivery role first (DevOps/SRE/release engineering mindset), paired with strong program execution to run deployments, cutovers, sustainment, incident operations, and reliability improvements in restricted environments. You will partner closely with Engineering and Security, along with Product, QA, Customer Success, Federal Sales, and government stakeholders/integrators, to ensure federal requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires direct ownership of release and deployment operations (CI/CD, automated deployments, change control, and cutovers), along with the ability to support authorization and continuous monitoring requirements in federal environments.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end release and deployment delivery for U.S. Federal environments, including planning, execution, cutover, validation, rollback readiness, and sustainment across IL5/IL6 and classified networks
- Own and improve software delivery pipelines for federal deployments, including CI/CD release gates, automated deployment workflows, and repeatable runbooks for restricted environments
- Establish and maintain configuration baselines, change control processes, patching cadence, and operational controls required to run in controlled enclaves
- Drive operational readiness: environment health checks, pre-release verification, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring and support
- Lead incident operations for federal environments (triage, containment, recovery, postmortems, corrective actions) and drive reliability improvements over time
- Partner with Engineering to resolve complex delivery and production issues, unblock releases, and improve operability (logging, metrics, alerting, diagnostics)
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across Engineering, Security, Product, QA, and Customer Success to meet federal operational requirements
- Support authorization and continuous monitoring by ensuring delivery processes produce required evidence and artifacts (e.g., FedRAMP/RMF, NIST 800-53, DoD SRG; ICD 503 as applicable)
- Coordinate with government security officers, approval authorities, system integrators/primes, and mission partners to support secure deployments and ongoing operations
- Drive operational metrics and reporting for deployment performance, release quality, incident trends, availability, and compliance posture
- Provide hands-on leadership for a small team and/or matrixed contributors, focusing on execution and delivery outcomes
- Travel up to 25% of the time and attend Keeper-related events (locally and nationally)
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical operations, platform operations, DevOps/SRE, release engineering, or federal delivery, including ownership of production delivery outcomes
- Demonstrated hands-on ownership of CI/CD pipelines, release gates, and deployment/cutover execution for production systems
- Experience deploying and sustaining secure software or enterprise systems in government enclaves, including IL5/IL6 and/or classified environments
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and/or automated deployment tooling (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or comparable)
- Strong technical understanding of secure deployment practices, configuration management, change control, incident response, and operational controls in restricted environments
- Strong familiarity with federal compliance and authorization frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, RMF/NIST 800-53, DoD Cloud Computing SRG; ICD 503 as applicable) in the context of operating and delivering software
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and run complex delivery programs end-to-end (planning, execution, risk management, reporting)
- Experience working with government employees, integrators, primes, or contractors supporting high-security programs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance; SCI is not required for this role
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Keeper is FedRAMP authorized; therefore all applicants must be a U.S. Person
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting DoD or civilian agencies with high-security requirements (IL5/IL6, classified)
- Experience operating continuous monitoring programs and audit-ready evidence processes as part of delivery and operations
- Experience with observability practices (metrics, logs, tracing), incident response, and reliability engineering in restricted environments
- Background in zero-trust architectures, IAM, PAM, or secrets management
Benefits
- Medical, Dental & Vision (inclusive of domestic partnerships)
- Employer Paid Life Insurance & Employee/Spouse/Child Supplemental life
- Voluntary Short/Long Term Disability Insurance
- 401K (Roth/Traditional)
- A generous PTO plan that celebrates your commitment and seniority (including paid Bereavement/Jury Duty, etc)
