(VV) Data Scientist - Level 3 (TS/SCI w/Poly)
Position Summary:
The Kenjya-Trusant Group is looking for a Data Scientist to support our customer in Wahiawa, Hi.
Essential Job Functions:
- Read existing python scripts and translate the build into JAVA for corporate tool development.
- Create analytics leveraging Access Discovery and CNE experience is required.
- Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
- Make and communicate principled conclusions from data using elements of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application specific knowledge.
- Through analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and/or another appropriate scientific method, develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets in various states of organization, cleanliness, and structure that account for the unique features and limitations inherent to NSA/CSS data holdings.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree must be in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
- Degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Information Systems, Engineering), a degree in the physical/hard sciences (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy), or other science disciplines with a substantial computational component (i.e., behavioral, social, and life) may be considered if it includes a concentration of coursework (typically 5 or more courses) in advanced mathematics (typically 300 level or higher; such as linear algebra, probability and statistics, machine learning) and/or computer science (e.g., algorithms, programming, data structures, data mining, artificial intelligence).
- College-level Algebra or other math courses intended to meet a basic college level requirement, or upper-level math courses designated as elementary or basic do not count.
- Optional Degree Requirement and Number of Years Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience.
- An Associate’s degree plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
- JAVA experience is required.
- Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly.
Desired/Preferred Skills:
- A previous systems engineering background is desired.
- Working knowledge of PySpark and GM is preferred.
- Familiarity with AMOD query tools, ECB2.
- Link analysis experience preferred.
Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $135,000.00 - $190,000.00
