
System Administrator (SF)
Position Summary:
The Kenjya-Trusant Group is looking for a Systems Administrator to support our Maryland Customer for cross domain solutions. The Systems Administrator will perform a variety of functions, depending on the level required. The specific demonstrated skills, as more fully set forth at each level may include: providing support for the implementation and operation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based Information Technology (IT) systems or Red Hat Derivative systems, installing and configuring Linux-based operating systems and their services.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Due to the nature of this position and the information employees will be able to access; US Citizenship is required.
- Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Poly.
Level 0 :
- High School diploma and five (5) years of SA experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- No demonstrated experience is required.
Level 1:
- High School diploma with ten (10) years of experience as a SA
- Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Level 2:
- High School diploma with fifteen (15) years of experience as a SA
- Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Desired/Preferred Skills:
- An active certification related to Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration, such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) must be obtained after 6 months of hire.
Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
The proposed salary range for this position is:
Level 0: $130,000 - $250,000
Level 1: $135,000 - $265,000
Level 2: $140,000 - $275,000
