Sterilization Technician - Kenora Family Dental

Summary:

Join Kenora Family Dental as a Sterilization Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for our patients. Your expertise will contribute to a welcoming dental environment and help ensure the best possible care for our community.

Schedule: Full-Time 9am-5pm 

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
• Organize and manage inventory of sterilized tools and supplies.
• Ensure sterilization area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
• Stay informed about the latest dental technology and procedures through continuing education.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with dental team to ensure smooth workflow and patient care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Completion of a Sterile Processing program or related training (preferred).
• IPAC certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization techniques.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting instrument trays or equipment.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred but not required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control guidelines.
