Sterilization Technician - Kenora Family Dental

Join Kenora Family Dental as a Sterilization Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for our patients. Your expertise will contribute to a welcoming dental environment and help ensure the best possible care for our community.
Schedule: Full-Time 9am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
- Organize and manage inventory of sterilized tools and supplies.
- Ensure sterilization area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
- Stay informed about the latest dental technology and procedures through continuing education.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with dental team to ensure smooth workflow and patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Sterile Processing program or related training (preferred).
- IPAC certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and sterilization techniques.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting instrument trays or equipment.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred but not required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Understanding of OSHA and infection control guidelines.
