Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Business Analyst to join our team. As a Technical Business Analyst Intern, you will be instrumental in developing a deep understanding of our business processes in relation to technology usage. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development of future state applications and technology solutions that effectively address our business needs and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Gather inputs from stakeholders across departments to understand current usage of technology systems and applications in relation to business outcomes.
• Utilize standard process mapping techniques such as swim-lane diagrams and process step narratives to document as-is and proposed to-be business processes, emphasizing the role of technology and data.
• Present documented processes to stakeholders, facilitating discussions to refine accuracy of current processes and define desired future state processes.
• Collaborate with technology subject matter experts (product owners, platform owners, project managers, systems and data architects, developers, UI/UX and testing resources) to analyze processes and propose technology and data solutions.
• Capture action items and follow-up tasks from meetings and discussions, ensuring timely execution.
• Participate in design activities as a subject matter expert, influencing final design decisions for technology solutions.
• Assist in presenting design proposals to business audiences, gathering feedback for further refinement and alignment.
• Participate in development reviews as needed to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Contribute to the creation of test cases to validate developed products against business objectives (user stories / use cases).
• Support testing activities by executing test cases and verifying the fit between developed products and business goals.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Solid understanding of business process modeling, process improvement techniques, and technology integration.
• Experience in developing future state applications and technology solutions to meet business needs.
• Proficiency in documenting requirements, use cases, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, present ideas, and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management principles is preferred.
