SEO Manager
Kepler is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of proven experience in developing and executing successful end-to-end SEO strategies, driving organic traffic, and improving search engine rankings. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical proficiency, and hands-on execution across various SEO disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End SEO Strategy & Execution: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies to achieve business objectives, increase organic search visibility, and drive qualified traffic to our website.
- Content SEO: Collaborate with content creators to optimize new and existing content for key pages, ensuring alignment with SEO best practices and keyword strategies. This includes optimizing on-page elements, content structure, and user experience.
- Technical SEO: Conduct regular technical SEO audits and implement recommendations to improve website performance, crawlability, indexability, and overall site health. This includes managing sitemaps, robots.txt, schema markup, site speed, and resolving technical SEO issues (e.g., broken links, redirect chains, canonicalization).
- Link Building: Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites, improving domain authority and search rankings.
- Google Merchant Center Management: Manage and optimize product feeds within Google Merchant Center to ensure accurate product data, resolve disapprovals, and maximize visibility for our product catalog in Google Shopping and other relevant platforms.
- SEO Keyword Strategy: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-value keywords and long-tail opportunities. Develop and maintain a comprehensive keyword strategy that informs content creation, technical optimizations, and overall SEO efforts.
- Local SEO: Strategize and partner with our internal teams and Yext to optimize our local business listings and location pages. Focus on driving local search traffic, improving local pack rankings, and ensuring consistent and accurate business information across all relevant platforms.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO platforms. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to ensure our strategies remain effective and competitive.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SEO, with a proven track record of success in driving organic growth.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience with various SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog).
- Proficiency in managing Google Merchant Center and optimizing product feeds.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful link building campaigns.
- Solid understanding of local SEO strategies and experience working with platforms like Yext.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- Retail or franchise experience

Total Compensation:
- Base Salary: $85,000 - $105,000
- Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 5% ($4,250 - $5,250)
- Target Total Cash: $89,250 - $110,250
