YOUR ROLE:

Kern is seeking a talented and experienced Creative Supervisor to join our high-performing video team and contribute both technically and creatively to impactful B2B projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and creative vision to develop compelling video content for a Fortune 50 brand. The Creative Supervisor will work alongside subject matter experts, Product/Project Managers, and partner directly with external clients. They will oversee projects from creative brief through post-production and final delivery, ensuring exceptional quality and alignment with client goals.

The Creative Supervisor will be required to work onsite with the client at least two days per week, with flexibility to be present up to five days a week as requested by the client for meetings, video shoots, and presentations. While adhering to the client’s marketing strategies and goals, this individual will deliver produced executive interviews, product videos, testimonials, sizzle reels, experiential content, how-to videos, and social media campaigns. Key attributes for success in this role include an impeccable eye for detail, strong quality control, excellent organizational skills, active listening, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset. Experience in Video Production is essential for this position.

OVERVIEW OF WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Serve as the primary creative lead, collaborating with peers and client Senior Leadership to translate marketing and brand strategies into compelling video content.
  • Lead your team in the creation of dynamic, innovative videos that meet both client objectives and brand standards.
  • Act as the right-hand partner to the client’s video lead, providing strategic and creative guidance on all initiatives.
  • Foster daily collaboration with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
  • Ensure seamless project management from concept to completion, maintaining accountability for deadlines, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Motivate and inspire a multi-talented video team while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultivate strong collaboration and communication with clients to ensure creative alignment and project success.
  • Clearly and effectively convey ideas to both clients and team members, ensuring shared understanding and direction.
  • Thoroughly review all projects created by your team to ensure quality and alignment before client submission.
  • Take the lead in conceptualizing, designing, and producing innovative videos for integrated, cross-vertical B2B initiatives, including testimonials, product showcases, sizzle reels, and more.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

  • Collaborate with editors, motion graphics artists, and AT&T creative client to lead video projects through all phases of production.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules.
  • Schedule and manage resources.
  • Manage deliverable specs and maintain version control.
  • Route and manage projects through brand and legal reviews.
  • Manage projects within Workfront.
  • Communicate with stakeholder on project status, and manage feedback from product, legal, and stakeholder reviews
  • Deliver final video deliverables to stakeholder via project management tool and the data asset management bank.
  • Work with client to determine creative content for monthly and quarterly reports and ensure reports are accurate

Production

  • Manage on-site and remote recordings.
  • Prepare and share production logistic documents.
  • Develop production book for full production video shoots including but not limited to, contacts, shot list, production schedule, logistics, etc.
  • Help MMS video team with set-up of cameras and lights.
  • Prepare scripts from pre-recorded content with working transcripts.
  • Collaborate with the video team and AT&T creative lead to develop creative concepts for videos.
  • Work with the writing team on video scripts
  • Conduct stock footage and music searches to collaborate with editors
  • Develop and prepare storyboards with the design team, creative editors, and motion graphics artist
  • Ensure all documents and creative content are accurate and approved by AT&T creative lead before stakeholder presentations

Post-production

  • Collaborate with editors to effectively communicate required changes to videos.
  • Prepare and submit videos for transcripts and closed captions for your projects.
  • Manage stock footage and music searches and track licensing information.
  • Conduct quality control (QC) checks for produced videos.
  • Maintain completion reports for your projects.
  • Assist with video editing tasks and graphics as needed.
  • Work with the team’s producer to track talent contracts and manage license renewals or removal of videos when expired.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to quickly understand and internalize client brand strategies, seamlessly applying style guidelines and standards to all projects.
  • Flexibility to adapt to multiple rounds of revisions while maintaining a sharp eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Open-mindedness to accept and implement feedback, ensuring alignment with client direction and expectations.
  • Strong communication skills to professionally articulate thoughts and ideas directly to external clients.
  • Expertise in interpreting client needs and translating marketing objectives into clear, actionable, and innovative creative strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital media, video production, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and professional experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in digital media production, with a proven track record in a professional video production environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills to effectively manage high-volume workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication abilities, paired with a positive attitude and experience working directly with executive-level clients.
  • A collaborative team player who promotes a positive and supportive work environment, promoting camaraderie and teamwork.
  • Location and availability: Must be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex. 
  • Required to work onsite at least two days per week, with flexibility to be present up to five days a week as requested by the client for meetings, video shoots, and presentations.
  • Availability to travel as needed for projects or client engagements.

This range is specific to Dallas and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
