YOUR ROLE:

We’re looking for a curious and motivated individual to support building customer experiences for world-class brands. You have a passion to bring marketing and category trends to your work, dig for the most salient and provoking insights, and immerse yourself in the client’s brand and business. You will have the unique opportunity to work alongside an interdisciplinary team, other strategists and collaborative clients to create impactful work and further brand growth goals.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Become an expert on client business, categories, consumers, and value propositions.
  • Support in the creation of communication strategies/CRM strategies to identify, capture, and nurture customers across the entire decision-making process.
  • Work collaboratively in an interagency team model to build customer experience programs that leverage a multitude of channels, such as web, email, mobile, and media.
  • Identify content strategy needs, gaps & opportunities across the customer journey.
  • Partner with Creative, Marketing Sciences and Tech to collaborate on and to realize strategies, roadmaps and plans.
  • Write and speak clearly and intelligently about complex ideas, systems, and strategies.
  • Become intimately familiar with all research tools, and use those tools to provide research inputs, including desk research, secondary and primary methods.
  • Distill primary and secondary research into customer beliefs, attitudes, and barriers to build actionable user journeys.
  • Unearth novel insights that fuel strategic plans and briefs.
  • Write creative briefs, brief internal teams, and work with them to inspire great work.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Must be highly motivated with a strong record of excellence and professional achievement.
  • Emphasis on qualities such as intellectual curiosity, responsibility, determination, creativity, flexibility, drive, and self-confidence.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strict attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy or related role within marketing, creative services, digital experience, digital product innovation, or digital agency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with various deadlines simultaneously.
  • Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
  • Experience within CRM content strategy a plus, but not required
  • Experience writing, editing or collaborating on brief development, marketing documents and creative materials

KERN's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Dallas and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
