Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to get your foot in the door of a fast-growing and innovative communications agency as well as support the Branded Entertainment business! The ideal candidate will be a team player who is hard-working with an entrepreneurial spirit & creative mindset; someone who is digitally savvy, resourceful, culturally aware, and shows passion for the entertainment business. This candidate should be able to build branded content concepts and proposals, know the entertainment space and bring forth partnership opportunities for existing Ketchum clients for brand integration across TV, streaming, digital and film. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about branded content, entertainment partnerships, with a love of seeing an idea move from development to execution. 

About the job

  • Ideate, develop, package and execute strategic Entertainment Partnership/Sponsorship programs for clients based on client’s overall business goals; connect clients with a TV/Streaming/Digital or Film partner idea.
  • Think through the best partner for the brand, distribution channel to be used, timelines, program KPIs, and potential outcomes. 
  • Build a recommendation in PowerPoint or Canva to guide account teams and clients and sell in the idea against the ask.
  • Understand strategic partner needs and objectives, effectively communicate them internally and externally, and run point on strategies to help produce shared results.
  • Entertainment Partners/ Properties and Industry Knowledge
    • Have built in relationships and connections with media partners and lifestyle partners.
    • Have conducted partner/sponsorship vetting to build proposals that ensured suggested partners meet the program and creative requirements and are aligned with brand equity.
    • Has presented partner recommendations to account teams or clients and successfully presented why they were chosen and how they align with client goals and objectives.
  • Develop partner brief to communicate the client asks, messaging and expectations to partners
    • Demonstrate understanding of factors that drive partner costs; build negotiation skillset and partner relationships across landscape (tv & streaming, film, events, digital and lifestyle properties etc.)
  • Independently manage partner contracts
    • Understand key terms of a partner contract and within the industry and what terms are not negotiable.
  • Attend shoots, monitor air dates, launch moments and partners’ social to ensure posts and/or content go live at agreed upon time and aligned with approved content; share live posts with account team and client.
  • Campaign Reporting
    • Gather metrics for completed programs.
    • Knowledgeable about entertainment industry standards for metrics across property assets.
    • Contribute to program recap decks with program overviews, entertainment metrics, screenshots, and key learnings; ability to present program recap decks to account teams/clients and explain why the campaign did or did not meet expected goals.
    • Create program case studies with ability to present them internally and to clients.
  • Network– Continue to build internal and external network of contacts with Ketchum account teams and media teams.
  • Identify incremental client opportunities and proactively pitch to the clients and account teams.

      Financial Management

  • Efficiently manage assigned monthly hours per project.
    • Proactively work with account teams to ensure the Entertainment team is tracking with monthly fee hours.
  • Proficiency in developing out of pocket expenses.
  • Proficiency in managing invoice process for partners including securing and submitting vendor paperwork and opening POs.
  • Maintain a tracker for the Entertainment team including prospecting, open POs and ongoing work.

Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field preferred.
  • Five years or more of experience in sales, media sales, or media advertising
    • Worked on branded content in TV, digital or Film.
    • Worked for a network.
    • Worked for an ad agency/media sales.
  • Knowledge of Broadcast morning, day-time talk, late shows, Film studios, festivals/events and digital partners who integrate brands into programming cross-platform.
  • Ability to work in multi-faceted, fast-paced environment.

 

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available. #LI-Hybrid
