Overview:
Ketchum is looking to add an Account Executive to our dynamic automotive team.
This is a tremendous opportunity to work on high-profile accounts, where your work directly impacts our clients' work and helps achieve great results. Experience with thought leadership, event planning, and product PR is required. Ideal candidates will possess well-rounded PR credentials, combined with expertise in automotive, transportation, and mobility, as well as familiarity with the media that cover these spaces. About the Job:
Strong written and oral communication skills
- Drafting materials: press releases, pitches, message documents, etc. Work with the creative team to develop graphic materials and other visual programs and assets for programs
Media Relations
- Managing and building media lists, building and maintaining relationships with journalists and securing media coverage
Strategic Thinking
- Development of planning documents, story angles, and POVs (in coordination with MAS and VP on team) – be able to present findings and feedback directly to the client.
Reporting and research
- Ongoing media monitoring and news updates – daily and on a program basis. Flagging story opportunities to the team and the client. Liaison with the analytics team to develop detailed metrics reports and recaps.
Client Relations
- Client-facing role. Attend weekly meetings with the client and participate in discussions, creative thinking, planning, and execution. On-site presence at programs including drive events, auto shows, and other industry events.
- Experience with researching potential talent partners for the brand
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field preferred

Two to three years of experience in a public relations agency or a similar position; transportation/automotive experience highly desirable; experience in multicultural marketing a plus

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage priorities

Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced environment

Experience working in media with an existing set of relationships

Enthusiastic about automotive, transportation, and mobility with a high degree of personal interest in these categories
The salary range for this position is $62,500 - $68,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available. #LI-Hybrid
