The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by leveraging manual and automated testing techniques, focusing on API testing and automation. This role involves developing test plans, integrating test management platforms, and collaborating with the development team to improve testing workflows and automation.

Responsibilities  

  • Leverage Postman as the primary tool for API testing and automation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans to ensure thorough testing coverage.
  • Evaluate and integrate a test management platform (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) to streamline QA processes.
  • Collaborate with the development team to enhance automation efforts and testing workflows.
  • Analyze project requirements and create detailed test documentation.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for APIs, focusing on handling large datasets and ensuring performance.
  • Investigate and implement automation tools to improve test efficiency.
  • Maintain and expand the suite of automated tests to support key use cases, reducing manual effort.
  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.

 

Requirements 

Skills Needed:

  • Expertise in API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Experience in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test documentation.
  • Knowledge of test management platforms like TestRail or Zephyr.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and automation for APIs handling large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes and workflows.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate project requirements and identify test coverage gaps.
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting for automation purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing workflows.
  • Understanding of database testing techniques and SQL.
  • Experience in performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
