UAS Maintenance Technician

K1000ULE Maintenance Engineer Technician
Position Overview: Serve as a K1000ULE UAS Maintenance Technician supporting sustainment operations. Responsibilities include maintenance, payload operations, communications network troubleshooting and repair, aircraft repair and overhaul, training, and logistical tasks for the K1000ULE UAS. Additional duties encompass emplacement, displacement, inspection, disposition, repair, and replenishment of associated equipment, along with proper notation of logbooks, flight records, and phase maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as a Subject Matter Expert for operator and maintenance-related issues.

Participate in site surveys and customer demos.

Provide technical and operational expertise for communication device hardware and software development, testing, and utilization.

Interface with hardware, software, and human systems integration engineering personnel to support product improvement.

Develop and present formal training courses and materials.

Conduct training task analysis.

Ensure uniform and efficient training and publication processes on assigned programs.

Evaluate training methods and recommend improvements for efficient and effective student qualification.

Travel domestically and internationally for up to 45-day deployments, including training exercises.
Responsibilities:
-
Provide operational support for K1000ULE Group II UAS.
-
Perform as a maintenance technician, sensor operator, integration specialist, composite technician, and/or maintainer/crew chief.

Travel and deploy worldwide as required.

Interface directly with customers.
-
Work independently or in groups with minimal or no supervision.

Work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours as needed.

Support PIC with data management and exploitation report generation.

Provide general logistics functions.

Troubleshoot technical problems and determine solutions.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
-
Four or more years of related experience.
-
Related technical training is desired.
-
Significant aviation maintenance experience from one or multiple platforms with core competencies in avionics, communications, and navigation.

Ability to perform duties of maintenance engineer, sensor operator, and launch and recovery specialist safely and effectively without supervision, including flight and ground equipment setup/maintenance, as well as logs and records.

Ability to coordinate flight schedules, airspace, resources, frequency management, and other aspects of flight operations.

FAA licenses or certificates such as Part 107, private pilot certifications are desirable.

Basic computer skills are required; computer networking experience is desired.

Effective communication skills with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.

Strong leadership skills.

Experience in troubleshooting and repair of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems is a plus.

Prior military service is a desired plus.

Must be deployable to various OCONUS locations.

Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
