ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Controller to join the KHAITE team. This role will report to the CFO/COO and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This role will be crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. The Controller will be responsible for the monthly close, annual audit, preparing and analyzing financial reporting and performance, ensuring the business complies with financial regulations, and collaborating with senior management to manage financial performance.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, general ledger, capital assets, tax, equity, insurance and payroll
  • Oversee and manage the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce time to close
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Partner with FP&A to monitor and analyze financial performance, comparing actual results to budget and last year to identify variances
  • Identify efficiencies in expense spending to improve EBITDA
  • Ensure that financial systems, processes and reporting scale with the business
  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, audit compliance and financial procedures and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Work with outside providers to file local, state and federal tax returns and prepare year-end tax provisions
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management and board of director meetings
  • Lead efforts and communications with annual audit process

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong ability to work in a team environment and enjoy working collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak with all levels within the business
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at once effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in finance, accounting or related field required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
  • 10+ years proven accounting experience; preferable in a luxury setting
  • Experience managing financial projects

WE OFFER

The salary range is $200,000-220,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidates' relevant skills and experience. Other benefits include a company bonus plan, employee discounts, medical, dental, vision, a 401k plan and other ancillary benefits.

New York Pay Range

$200,000 - $220,000 USD
