About the role:

Join our mission as an Epic EHR (Electronic Health Record) Architect to lead the development and delivery of innovative solutions aimed at transforming healthcare and operations through technology, with a primary focus on Epic systems. You will directly and meaningfully impact the experience of millions of people. This role requires a strong technical foundation, with the ability to design, build, and support scalable, distributed systems across healthcare and operational platforms, particularly in Epic environments. As an experienced engineer seeking an opportunity to shape the future of technology-enabled healthcare and operational processes, we hope you'll consider joining our team.

Success in this role hinges on your ability to collaborate with diverse clinical and operational teams to design services that seamlessly integrate with EPIC via HL7 or FHIR APIs. Your deep understanding of EPIC's modules, interfaces, and data model will be crucial in developing our strategic roadmap with our partners.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead design and implementation of technical solutions to integrate with our partners’ Epic EHR-related initiatives
  • Promote Engineering excellence by designing with scalability, performance and security as guiding principles
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver Epic-integrated features with high quality code, test suites and documentation
  • Work in a fast paced environment leveraging strong continuous integration principles, with a focus on DevOps and robust automation
  • Data Driven decision making, back your proposals with data and contribute to the organization key metrics
  • Mentor other engineers and lead by example by contributing to our coding best practices and engineering guidelines
  • Hands On, you will be implementing our services to integrate with our partners’ EHR system and lead by example 

 

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience building scalable systems, with expertise about EPIC EHR, all its modules and interfaces
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages  and frameworks
  • Expertise with IaaS and hardware abstractions such as Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP/AWS suite
  • Extensive experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, particularly Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Technical domains
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver with little supervision

Bonus:

  • Epic certifications 
  • Experience with Linear, JIRA or similar ticket management tools
  • Experience with Kotlin, NodeJS, Typescript
  • Experience with building APIs using GraphQL and Apollo Federation
  • Experience with Agile and Shape Up methodologies
  • Familiarity with virtual health, cloud, interoperability, data analytics, and/or automation
  • Experience with Retool
  • Experience with AI agent development

Compensation:

$175,000 - $210,000 USD

We offer competitive compensation packages based on industry benchmarks for function, level, and geographic location. Offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as a candidate's experience and expertise.
