Belt Vulcanizer
Kimball Equipment Company, a leader in the aggregate and mining equipment industry since 1946, is seeking a motivated Belt Vulcanizer to join our growing team. This hands-on position is responsible for the installation, splicing, repair, and maintenance of conveyor belt systems at both customer job sites and in our shop. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with travel and physical demands. This role plays a critical part in delivering the high level of service and reliability Kimball Equipment is known for across the Western United States.
Belt Vulcanizer Responsibilities:
- Perform conveyor belt splicing, vulcanizing, and repairs on a variety of conveyor belt systems
- Install, inspect, and maintain conveyor belts and related components
- Travel to customer job sites to perform field service work
- Troubleshoot belt-related issues and recommend repair solutions
- Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company and industry standards
- Organize and document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Assist with shop fabrication and belt preparation as needed
Belt Vulcanizer Qualifications:
- Previous conveyor belt vulcanizing, splicing, or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
- Ability to handle physical workload in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime as required
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL or ability to obtain a CDL preferred
