Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish new company relationships within the Cell and Gene Therapy industry.
  • Call on prospective accounts, provide technical and administrative product information, coordinate presentations, and support proposal generation.
  • Understand the cell and gene therapy market and be able to communicate the Kincell Bio value proposition.
  • Work with internal teams to translate client needs and expectations into reality.
  • Build new strategic contacts, networks, and business relationships.
  • Participate in company initiatives as required for securing new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Partner on negotiation of agreements.
  • Coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) response across Kincell and with prospective clients.
  • Transparently track and communicate progress on new and existing customers with the Kincell leadership team.
  • Accompany and/or host customers for onsite company visits/audits.
  • Attend, and represent Kincell, at selected industry meetings and conferences.
  • Work with internal stakeholders in manufacturing, process development, project management, engineering etc. to facilitate successful proposal negotiation and implementation process.
  • Presentation writing and presentation preparation for meetings and conferences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business or related, or Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or related life science discipline.
  • 2+ years Sales/Business Development experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • Equivalent education and years’ experience accepted.
  • Experience owning end to end sales process with clients.
  • Strong contract negotiating skills.
  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders to make sure the client is a fit and communicate such fit internally and externally.
  • A positive and enthusiastic personality and the energy and drive to bring new customer deals to a successful conclusion.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results driven, passionate, ‘go-getter’.
  • Must be able to build relationships through networking and referrals.
  • Polished individual with strong delivery and closing skills.

Preferred:

  • Business Development experience in a CDMO environment.
  • Nimble in the forecasting perspective.
  • Key account and territory management experience with academic, biotech/pharmaceutical life science customers.
  • Good understanding of the drug development process.
  • Experience in a start-up environment.
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize projects and customers.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
  • Good leadership and persuasion skills.

Travel Requirements

  • 25-50%
