Job Description:

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and demonstrated team-player. You’ll be an early engineer at a high growth startup, and will play a significant role in building on one of the most mature generative AI products in the market. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks, working collaboratively in an on-site team setting, and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
  • Experience developing in either Typescript or Python
  • Onsite in Venice CA (4 days a week in the office hybrid)
  • Some familiarity with AI concepts, tooling, frameworks, prompting, and/or open source models (e.g. GenAI model APIs, embeddings, vector databases, LangChain, LlamaIndex, fine tuning, context windows, RAG, etc)
  • Strong personal excitement and passion for AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to learn independently and ramp up quickly with minimal guidance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn and grow
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • Familiarity with SQL databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full stack experience and familiarity a suite of end-to-end tools
  • Experience with the major frameworks in our stack: React, Node.js, and FastAPI
  • Knowledge of security best practices

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • ML experience such as training models, use of Pytorch, Tensorflow, and Transformers libraries

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our generative AI platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define, design, and ship new features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and high performance code, adhering to best practices
  • Participate in code and design reviews to maintain code quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
