What you'll do

Develop and execute a sales plan that achieves account-specific goals, aligns with customer strategies, and drives profitable growth across instore and ecommerce platforms. This role will partner with retailer HQ and retailer divisional teams, broker partners and internal cross-functional teams to develop and deliver integrated business plans based on strong shopper insights.

 

This is how you will do it

  • Direct and deliver key financial metrics versus annual sales targets with an aligned trade spend plan
  • Drive Meijer/Spartan Nash distribution opportunities, innovation launches, execution of key promotional drive periods by collaborating with internal retailer merchandising teams, KIND team members, and broker partners
  • Develops a sales plan that drives profitable growth and achieves sales targets that integrates knowledge of KIND objectives, customer strategies and shopper/category insights
  • Leads execution of category level sales plans and related responsibilities with excellence: Manages Trade Funds, Optimal AMPPS (assortment, merchandising, price, promotion, and shelving), Volume and Trade Forecast Ownership & Accuracy, Customer Specific Forms/Processes (MAPS, New Item Set-Up, Demandtec
  • Utilize tools (IRI Unify, dunhummby, and other reporting) to analyze data on a variety of critical business drivers to improve results
  • Engages and Builds Relationships with key customer counterparts including category managers, replenishment buyers and merchandising assistants
  • Works cross-functionally and influences internal stakeholders: Serves as the voice of the consumer to influence retailer specific brand strategy and plans. Builds strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams and leverages sales and retail tools, processes, resources to secure resourcing and support for retailer initiatives.

You have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Sales, Finance, Account Management, Category Management and/or Analytics
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of key reporting systems (Syndicated Data, Trade Management Tools, Meijer Portal, Customer Planning Tools)
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Ability to portray a confident and winning attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient at Microsoft office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to apply financial data to make decisions and influence outcomes. This includes margins, retail math, forecast/projections, velocities, and other analytical skills not mentioned
  • This is a remote role, with candidate ideally located in Grand Rapids, MI (or surrounding area) or Greater Chicago

 

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $92,000 to $122,500. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
