What you’ll do

As a Graphic Design Co-Op, you will be responsible for all areas relating to our creative needs such as packaging, print collateral, digital banners and marketing campaigns. You will have the chance to build a network of professional and personal contacts, develop your skills and build confidence motivation and professional work habits you need to excel. This is the opportunity to test drive your career as an in-house designer, and this is how you’ll do it…

Support in designing:

• Ads, sell sheets, retail signage, in-store displays, pamphlets, digital assets and more using Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
• Support with packaging redesigns, competitor research & font/color exploration
• Create digital assets for various marketing campaigns for email blasts, retail banners and website assets
• Support the design team with mock ups, creative resizes and other in-house requests

Cross-functional department collaboration:

• Work with cross functional departments (Sales, Field Marketing, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Digital etc.) to fulfill creative requests for national and international requests

**PORTFOLIO REQUIRED** Please provide your design portfolio. I.e. Website or examples of recent work you have completed that are relevant to Branding and/or Creative Concept Design.

What you’ll bring to KIND

• Experience with branding, logo, and layout design.
• Learnings from your completed courses pertaining to this area of focus.
• Experience from previous internship or work experience.

You have…

• Enrolled in an accredited design program at a college/university and are in good standing.
• Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expert design skills and have mastered the Adobe Suite CC.
• An eye for detail and preparation of high-quality submissions.
• Strong understanding of pre-press procedures.
• An understanding of how to maintain brand aesthetic.
• A thorough understanding of design principles.
• A commitment to quality.
• An interest in pursuing a career in design.
• Availability to commit to our team for 6 months.
• Passion for KIND’s core values and mission.
