As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Kinetic Communities Consulting Corporation (KC3), you will have the opportunity to impact communities and organizations seeking to create a more sustainable future. We are looking for a passionate, experienced individual to join our team and lead clean energy, decarbonization, climate resilience, and community engagement projects. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will lead the modernization of our internal systems, data infrastructure, and workflows, using AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve how we operate and deliver impact at scale radically.

About KC3

KC3 is an M/WBE and B Corp–certified consulting firm working at the intersection of energy, housing, and equity. We partner with local government, utilities, nonprofits, and the private sector to connect disinvested communities to clean, affordable energy.

Our work centers on:

  • Expanding energy efficiency and decarbonization in affordable housing
  • Strengthening climate resilience in frontline communities
  • Preserving housing through smart energy investments
  • Creating pathways into the clean energy economy for New Yorkers

Climate solutions must work for the people most impacted, and that requires strong systems behind the scenes.

Job Overview

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Kinetic Communities Consulting Corporation (KC3), you will lead the modernization of our internal systems, data infrastructure, and workflows, using AI, automation, and advanced analytics to fundamentally improve how we operate and deliver impact at scale.

This is not a traditional reporting role. You will own and drive KC3’s internal data and technology transformation, building systems that reduce manual work, increase insight, and enable our team to focus on what matters most: advancing clean energy, climate resilience, and equity in disinvested communities.

You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale technology solutions that support large, complex clean energy and decarbonization programs across New York City. This role is ideal for a tech-forward builder who thrives in ambiguity, leads through change, and wants their work to support mission-driven outcomes directly. In this role, you will play a central, hands-on role in transforming KC3’s technology ecosystem. You will:

  • Design and implement data, analytics, and automation solutions
  • Establish standardized, scalable reporting and data practices
  • Embed AI-enabled workflows into daily operations
  • Reduce manual processes and improve data quality and decision-making
  • Train and support staff through organizational change

You will have autonomy, visibility, and influence over how KC3 evolves its internal operations.

Responsibilities

Technology Integration & Innovation

  • Serve as KC3’s internal subject matter expert on data analytics, automation, AI, and machine learning in the workplace
  • Assess organizational and programmatic needs and recommend, design, and implement technology solutions
  • Lead implementation of new systems and workflows, ensuring alignment with IT and cybersecurity requirements
  • Train staff on tools, policies, and best practices for technology adoption
  • Monitor emerging trends in AI, analytics, and automation to keep KC3 ahead of the curve

Data Strategy & Reporting

  • Partner with program managers to assess and improve data collection, storage, and reporting processes
  • Own and implement a standardized, organization-wide client data and reporting framework
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI that translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Apply automation and AI to improve QA/QC, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency

Continuous Improvement & Change Management

  • Embed technology modernization into KC3’s broader change management approach
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes and improve cross-team collaboration
  • Track and report on transformation initiatives, milestones, risks, and outcomes

About You

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience implementing automation and/or AI-enabled solutions at an enterprise or organizational scale
  • At least 1 year of experience leading or owning technology implementations

  • Experience with technology-enabled solutions such as:
    • AI-assisted documentation and knowledge management
    • Automated reporting and QA/QC
    • Workflow automation using Copilot and Power Automate
    • Predictive analytics or performance monitoring
    • Intelligent intake, eligibility, or compliance tracking
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Willingness to travel across NYC up to four times per month; occasional evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Programming or scripting experience (Python, SQL, R, Java)
  • Experience with modeling tools (e.g., STATA), APIs, web scraping, or ML techniques
  • Background in data science, business analytics, or AI
  • Experience with change management or continuous process improvement
  • Prior work in government, utilities, or other regulated industries.

Portfolio Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating experience in business intelligence, analytics, automation, or data-driven decision-making. Portfolios may include dashboards, reports, workflows, case studies, system designs, or project summaries that show how you’ve translated complex data into actionable insights. Portfolios may be shared via a personal website, GitHub repository, or an accessible dashboard link.

Applicants without a portfolio will not be considered.
